In the northernmost region of Vietnam, Ha Giang is a remote destination that has been open to tourism for only a few years. With a population of just over 700,000 people, this is one of Vietnam’s poorest places, and it shows—not because it is decrepit or run-down, but just the opposite—not being reliant on a strong economy has kept the area pristine and preserved, virtually untouched by the harmful effects of mass tourism and big industries.
The region boasts nature as you have probably never seen it. Massive limestone walls, granite outcrops everywhere, hanging valleys, rice terraces climbing to the clouds, and winding roads carved into the mountainsides.

Great 4-days Ha Giang Loop
AnnaN123456, 20-09-2022
Favorite: the loop, the views and the guide. The guide knew every inch of the loop, advised how to dress and was very considered of picture perfect places.
We were super lucky with the weather. Additionally, everything was perfectly arranged. From the pickup in Hanoi untill return. Food, busses, overnight stays etc.

Least: rice for lunch and dinner (first world problems;))
Once in a lifetime experience!

My friend and I booked the 4 day trip on the Ha Giang Loop and had an amazing time. I rode on the back of the guides bike while my friend drove her own and we both had a great experience. The homestays, food, and guided activities were all great quality. The views on the Ha Giang Loop are truly magnificent and it was overall the best part of our trip through South East Asia. This tour was an incredible once in a lifetime experience with memories that we will treasure throughout our life!
A great adventure way off the beaten path

A great, GREAT adventure in North Vietnam's remote Ha Giang province. The owner/operator of the tour, Cuong, is an exceptional human being, and the staff of local drivers are extremely competent, kind, and friendly.

Recommendation: If you want to be extra adventurous, Cuong will teach you the basics of using a motorcycle (even if you have NO experience) in the days before the trip, so you can drive yourself! If I had the time, I definitely would have done that. Riding as a passenger on the back of a motorcycle for a few days is quite physically taxing -- but still worth it if you're not up to riding yourself.
Ha Giang-Loop Bike Tour: Adventure of a Lifetime

We booked the Ha Giang-Loop Adventure with Cuong and his team, a company that specializes in motorbike tours. We knew this would be an amazing way to learn more in-depth about Vietnamese culture, especially while exploring its most rural and provincial areas.

This tour was different from any other I have ever done because of the wealth of knowledge and information about the country's history that was imparted by our guides. There was 1 motorbike driver/guide per person. The 10 people in my group felt like our own little bike gang, a pretty cool vibe all 4 days on this excursion.

This is the best way to see the wonderful landscapes of northern Vietnam. Cuong and his team did a great job at ensuring that we were happy, safe, and had the best time. Some of the things I remember most about my 4-day excursion with this company were plunging into the limestone walls, driving through hanging valleys, our crystal green river boat ride, and zipping through rice terraces.

You’ll also stay at 2 local homestays and a hotel along the route. Once you start, there’s no going back, only forward. Expect 6-7hr long rides (with stops), numb butts and sore knees. That said, I promise you it’s all worth it. You will not regret booking this tour! This is one of my favourite things I’ve ever done as a world traveller. Challenging but oh-so-worth-it. Highly recommend.
Best tour I’ve ever done with the best guides

The tour with Ha Giang Adventure was one of the best trips I’ve ever done, and easily the best tour company. Everything was so well organised from meals, accommodation, timings, communication, and transport.

I completed the loop with some friends and family, two of us drove our own motorbikes, and two were on the back of guides.

We couldn’t have asked for better guides so a big shoutout to Dien, Tiger, Tony, & Tranh! They knew all of the best places to go, best places to get photos, were very knowledgable about the area and answered all our questions. They really made the whole experience very enjoyable and safe and slowed down when we needed to and made sure we were comfortable on the bikes. Their English was perfect and they were always up for a good laugh.

There was nothing to fault with the entire trip and I especially liked the fact the guides were local and knew so much about the area, and using re-usable water bottles.

I would Highly highly highly recommend Ha Giang Adventures and I’ll be back one day for another trip with them, and a final thanks to Cuong for organising it all
