Awesome trip to see Bat Trang pottery!

Peter was an awesome guide and we had such a good time. He took us to a factory to watch all the work that goes into the traditional way of making pottery. Then we went to a showroom where I picked out a small bowl that's just lovely. Then we went to the village to try our own hand at making pottery and that was quite difficult!

We also walked to the temple where they pray to the pottery god and finally to a traditional Vietnamese home which was probably our most favorite part! We had a wonderful talk over tea and learned so much!

I'd highly recommend this tour if you are in Hanoi and be sure to ask for Peter!!!
Fun and interesting tour

We loved seeing the ceramic pots being made, sketched, etched, glazed and fired. So many artists involved in the process. We also loved our visit in a traditional Vietnamese home. They were a delightful couple, so welcoming and kind. We had fun trying to make a cup. It’s definitely an artistic skill.
