Active, local experience

Had a great experience in the Mekong Delta with Lee. It was exactly what I was looking for - active, outdoor activities in local areas. We had sufficient time for both kayaking along the river and cycling through small towns. We didn't see any other tourists the entire time. The lunch is really good and I enjoyed stopping for a beer at a local warehouse. I'm already looking into the other tours this company offers for my next trip.

Great fun for the whole family

Mr. Lee and his team were amazing hosts and guides from the moment they picked us up from our apartment until they dropped us back off about 8 hours later. A few highlights:
- The car was a roomy, clean van with great AC (a little too good.. my niece was a bit cold, but it was a rare brisk day)
- Countryside Adventures provided us with plenty of water throughout the trip to keep us hydrated, and paid for our coffee, lunch, and dessert! All inclusive is an apt description as I don't think I paid for anything out of pocket during the entire trip
- Mekong Delta was a great experience. Mr. Lee grew up in the region, so he knows exactly how the locals live, and was seemingly in control of the situation during the entire trip.

A few things to keep in mind:
- There is a kayaking and a biking portion of the trip (as the title suggests) so make sure everyone in your party is comfortable doing those things. The kayaking portion is very doable, paddling through a very still river.
- Bring your own bugspray and your own sunscreen, and make sure to bring a hat!

This experience was amazing!!! You definitely need a reasonable level of fitness to enjoy it fully. The biking was challenging but rewarding, and the kayaking was very peaceful. We saw almost no other tourists the entire time, which was great. Plus we got to eat an an incredible full vegetarian buffet for lunch that supported local children in need. Lee had amazing English, too.

Our guide, Bao, was the perfect balance of local guide, hands off helper, and photographer. The trip was the exact right length with water, fruit, rice wine, snacks and the best Bahn Xeo at the end of the day! Really lovely pace, flexible and responsive to our needs, and just a completely spectacular excursion. We had a blast! Highly recommend this company and trip.
