An absolute must for food lovers

This was such a fantastic tour! Cindy has so much knowledge and passion for the the Da Nang food scene and it makes for a unique experience.

My partner and I have thoroughly loved our time in Vietnam, but without a local guide it can be hard to sort the real-deal local foods from the rest. Cindy customised the whole tour, which included something like 6 stops at local restaurants. She checked with us before we left for what we’d already tried and took us to eat things we’d never had at places we’d have struggled to figure out ourselves, with our extremely limited language skills.

Cindy explained the history of the dishes, local context, ingredients and how to eat them. She took us to as many places as we could fit in and the tour only ended because we were full to bursting. I won’t spoil anything by listing the dishes (also, I’m fairly sure each tour is different) but definitely expect to eat foods that the locals eat, not the typical tourist stuff.

Da Nang has its own rich and unique culinary tradition and Cindy’s tour is definitely the best way to experience it, particularly if you want to learn a lot. I should also mention that Cindy is lovely and personable, and besides the great food we had a really fun night that we won’t forget. A highlight of our stay in Vietnam and a tour we’d highly recommend!

Best food experience in Da Nang!

We could not have asked for a better way to discover authentic and delicious food from Da Nang! Cindy showed us hidden places that we would have never found by ourselves. She also adapted the places to our wishes. We especially liked how much we learned about the food, culture and history of Vietnam. It was a funny, entertaining and absolutely delicious tour! Anyone coming to Da Nang should try this.

Cindy was amazing. I’ve eaten a lot of Vietnamese food so wanted some real authentic thought that I may not have tried before and I got that. Everything I ate was completely different to food I’ve had. As well as that, Cindy was knowledgeable about EVERYTHING. It was amazing to hear about the history of the food and Da Nang itself. Vietnam has a lot of delicious food. But rice noodles and spring rolls are already boring even for tourists. Cindy took us to a restaurant hidden in a back street in a residential area that tourists would never have been to, and introduced us to a variety of traditional Vietnamese dishes. Not only that, but it was also a very interesting time by telling us about the origin and history of the food. Transfers between restaurants provided an air-conditioned vehicle and the tour continued until we were full and could not eat any more. If you are a tourist who is tired of common rice noodles, we recommend you to join this tour. We recommend that you skip lunch before joining this tour, and hope you don't miss out on more opportunities because you ate too much at the biggining during the tour.

Super great time. Cindy is a real foodie! She know the history of the local food as well as how it fits into the greater history of Vietnamese culture. She grew up in the area so she knows the very best places for each type of food. The tour is personalized to you… so have an idea of what you want to try. And come hungry!
