What To Expect

Cu Chi Tunnels

At either 8am or 12:30pm your private tour guide and car will pick you up from your hotel and take you North West to the Cu Chi Tunnels which are 70kms away. This is an area where Vietnamese people proudly held their ground during the Vietnam war (in Vietnam it is known as The American War). Over 200kms of underground tunnels were made, the trip will help you understand the struggle the Vietnamese would have gone through on the frontline. It took an enormous amount of ingenuity, courage and imagination to match the enemy and these tunnels were a big part of the Vietnam War and ended being a resounding victory for the Cu Chi people.
The tunnel system, fortifications and trenches were a part of a soldiers life, you will see how they lived, the kitchens, store rooms, hospital, living quarters. You can crawl around parts of the tunnel yourself and watch a video of the history of the Vietnam War in this area.
We will then take you back to your hotel.

Private your with Yen. Picked up from our hotel in a comfortable vehicle. Provided water and taken to the tunnels. Yen was friendly informative and spoke good English. Explaining things as we went around and answering any questions. Overall was a great experience and glad we booked privately so that the journey was comfortable and we could go around the tunnels at our own pace.

This is a must-do activity if you are going to Ho Chi Minh. We had a really great time on this tour. Our Tour guide was Kori (I don’t know if I spelt that right). He was extremely knowledgeable and very entertaining. My friends and I enjoyed every moment and would definitely recommend this tour and our guide Kori to anyone. It was definitely worth every penny spent.

You'd be a dang fool to miss this experience. You will learn a lot, get to see the countryside, and take advantage of a truly unique opportunity.

If you get a chance to request a guide and need English, Ngan "Natalie" Nguyen, is top-notch. Not only is her tour if the site informative, she also is a real hoot to chat with on the drive. Natalie also gave valuable advice on how to spend time for food and shopping in HCMC.

I went on a half day trip to Cu Chi tunnels. We left the hotel perfectly on time and got there fast. The visit itself was really fascinating, Jaho took care of everything and showed me around, he is a really great guy and a knowledgeable tour guide! Highly recommended experience!

Cu Chi Tour was the highlight of our Indochina Trip as we were able to experienced being inside the tunnels. Our group was the only one who tried the 50m tunnel during the tour. Our tour guide, Natalie, gave us all the information we need to know about Cu Chi. She also reached with everyone of us inside the bus, asked how are we and where are we from. She also gave us tips on how to explore Ho Chi Minh. After the tour, they also provided snacks (cassava and tea) which is really good. Overall, it was a nice experience. We reached Ben Thanh Market at around 3pm which gave us ample time to still shop and have a city tour.
