5:00 AM Depart from Ho Chi Minh City and relax on the 3.5-hour drive to Can Tho in the Mekong Delta.

Along the way, we will stop by at a local restaurant for the breakfast if needed. Or we will come to the Cai Rang floating market and have breakfast there.

8:30 AM. Arrive, Cai Rang Floating Market, you will have the opportunity to observe the lively bartering at the the most popular Floating Market of Cai Rang where vendors and buyers trading local agricultural products from their gardens.

Navigate the water channels by boat and make your way around the Market to join the hustle and bustle of the locals. Discover how an authentic vermicelli soup dish from Vietnam is made before wandering through the village where you will get to visit the Fruit Garden and enjoy fresh tropical fruits. If you like, you can even pick and buy fresh seasonal fruits from the garden. Lunch at a local restaurant

We had an amazing time with David who was super knowledgeable about Vietnamese history. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time and was very patient and kind. We loved the boat ride, shopping and seeing the rice noodle factory! We really got an authentic view of what life looks like in the mekong. The food was tasty!

The excursion we took—which was planned by Midmost Boutique Hostel—was fantastic! Since the markets close at 10 a.m., we left early (5.00 a.m.). We enjoyed a lovely breakfast on our boat. had two more adventures after that! We went to a lovely orchard/farm and got to see and sample a variety of fruits there, as well as a noodle factory where we got to see how they make rice noodles. Wonderful!

We had a great time exploring the Kairang floating market and had a lot of memorable experiences. Although the floating market is open from 6 am to 6 pm, it is best to go between 7 am and 10 am when it is quieter. We enjoyed the best breakfast ever, which included Hu Tieu soup. We also sampled a variety of delicious fruits, including mango, jackfruit, and rambutan. Many neighbourhood traders from the city and the countryside come to this market to buy fruits and vegetables to resell in their hometowns. We are astonished by the innovative ways in which locals use boats to advertise the fruits they sell.

Floating market tour with Hieu

When Hieu and I took the floating market tour, it exceeded our expectations. He has a university degree, spoke excellent English, and enjoyed making jokes, which made the tour feel even more intimate. He offered us a variety of fruits to sample, all of which were excellent! We visited a coco factory and a family-run rice noodle factory. When we arrive at the floating market, all the farmers are there selling their produce to the vendors at the land markets. There were boat vendors offering take-out coffee! Also serving breakfast was a boat vendor.

Boats loaded to the brim with fresh produce and flowers supply the entire nation. vibrant and new. Along the river's path are some interesting structures. the long drive from Ho Chi Minh City was worthwhile.
