Everyone should do this day trip

What a fantastic day. Picked up with our guide Trung. His English was excellent. He was full of really interested information about Hanoi it’s history and the surrounding area. After 1.5 hours on the air conditioned bus we arrived at Mr Duoc tea plantation. We were very warmly welcomed and offered tea. Then after discussing Mr Duoc life and mail tray service via Trung translating we were shown how to pick tea and the process it goes through. After that we were driven about 20 mins further to Mrs Chin’s house where we had a Vietnamese cookery lesson. Her neighbours son was getting married and we were invited to watch the ceremony on the property. Such a privilege. After that we had an amazing lunch which we helped prepare and then were taken around the village to see the lady who makes all the tofu for the village 100kg per day and then to see the lady who has the rice shelling machine. Everyone was so welcoming . Would definitely recommend this day trip as a must to see authentic north Vietnam.
Ba Vi trip through villages

The tour was well organised, tour guide and the host were friendly and shown hospitality as the typical Vietnamese culture. I find that it is wonderful to have experience with local people, traditional cuisines. We learnt how to pick tea and how to make tofu. We had a relaxing bike tour through beautiful villages with the mesmerising views of fields, Da river and mountains.
Brilliant day away from the bustling capital

We did this day trip as part of a wider tour around the country and it was definitely one of the best days we've had in Vietnam. The day starts at a tea plantation, with the opportunity to hand pick tea leaves after sampling some local tea. The hosts were lovely. We then went to a house in a local village where we helped prepare our lunch and had a wonderful banquet. We learnt about local produce and were kindly given samples to take home. A bike ride around the village and base of the Ba Vi mountains provided amazing scenery, and to finish a busy day we came back to a hot foot bath. Our tour guide Trung was excellent and very knowledgeable, we learnt a lot about the culture. I would highly recommend for a day out from the city.
Fantastic experience

Amazing day out which included having the most gorgeous footbath, tea, amazing lunch where we got make our own spring rolls, more tea, got to see how tofu was made, visited a green tea plantation and was shown how the tea was dried etc and yes you guessed it drank more tea. Our guide was fantastic, very friendly and full of information. I can't praise this day out enough, loved every minute of it, would definately recommend

I would highly recommend this tour! It was informative and interesting. It provided an excellent look into daily life in Vietnam. We had an opportunity to harvest tea leaves and learn about tea production. Preparing and enjoying lunch was a highlight as well. Cycling through the country side was a fun adventure...the chance to soak your feet in a traditional foot bath was then very welcome. Bavi was a beautiful place to see. Our guide, Trung, was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He made sure everything was smooth and enjoyable. Unmissable!
