A great way to see Nha Trang

We decided to try this because we have experience of riding scooters, so didn't feel too concerned about the prospect. We were only in Nha Trang for the day so we wanted to make the most of it. We were earlier than we expected so could have been hanging around for close on an hour but we phoned to tell them we'd arrived and within ten minutes they pulled up. I rode pillion on the back of the young man and my wife did the same with a young lady. They both spoke excellent english and were very friendly. They firstly took us to a Chem Temple which the young man guided us around and told us all about the Chem people who had built it. This took about 40 minutes and was very interesting. We then jumped back on the Vespas and went off to visit two ladies who produced straw mats, my wife was asked if she would like to try her hand at it, so she had a go briefly. We bought some place mats from them. We then went to a traditional Vietnamese house to see how the people would live at home. This was next to a riverside restaurant where we had a huge lunch ( included in price ) . after this slow relaxing lunch they took us to a silk shop/workshop where they showed us how the tradition of embroidery was continuing in the area. I have to say that the work they did there was breathtaking, this was for me the highlight of the tour. You are then encouraged to purchase some of the products, which I have to admit were not cheap. We did purchase a piece which was modestly priced compared to a lot of them but we thought it worth the money as the workmanship was of such a high standard. After this we were taken back to the port so we could get back to our cruise ship. A great experience and something different from the usual shore excursion the cruise ships provide.

I had John as a guide and his English is great. The itinerary was relaxing yet interesting for a day out in Nha Trang. Love the cozy lunch restaurant. Recommended for anyone looking for some activity outside the beach in Nha Trang!

Recently went on the 5 hour tour around Nha Trang with Henry and Gen and it was awesome. They were very good drivers and very knowledgeable about their hometown. They were unrushed and very chatty which made the time pass by very quickly. We went for coffee, embroidery, handicraft factories, temples, Pho lunch, rice paper rolls and then tea in an ancient local house. The whole experience was very enjoyable and made more so by the hosts who looked after us so well. Very reasonably priced too. I thoroughly recommend this type of tour when visiting Vietnam and I have now done Vespa tours in Nha Trang and HCMC
