10/10 food experience

Would 100% recommend this to anyone who would like to experience the delicacies of Hue! It was the perfect way to explore places we would never have come across and to understand the history and influences behind the food. Make sure you go with an empty belly though!
...but we're too full! OK, one more...

My girlfriend and I spent a few days with Matt and enjoyed the street food tour. In fact, it was one of our favorite experiences. But the only problem is that the food is so good at each spot that we got full pretty quickly. Fortunately, we found room for more. Everything was very good and Matt has such incredible knowledge about 'his city' that we enjoyed talking, eating, eating, talking and so on. Good times. Two Yums!
Wonderful street food tour with Hue Top Tours

I just finished a Hue food tour with Mr Ngoc☺ after the Hue city tour. His English name is Mathew. The tour lasts 4 hours and i had chance to taste all excellent foods in Hue city. What a wonderful evening with a handsome guy. I Highly recommended this food tour if you ever traveled to Hue.
Amazing Food Tour

What a great night. Matthew, the amazing guide of the tour, showed us places around Hue we would never have seen without his guidance. He is so knowledgeable and the city and its local cuisine. We had almost more great food than we could handle. This is definitely something I’d recommend to everyone who comes to Hue!
A delicious food tour not to be missed!

I. Am. Stuffed. That’s because I just finished my food tour with Matthew which was superb. We sampled the best of Hue food across the city, taken around by friendly & safe cyclo drivers who were masters at navigating the local traffic.

We tasted 9 Hue specialities, all of which were fresh, super local (it’s always a good sign when you’re the only foreigner there!), and super delicious. Given Matthew’s chef background, he augmented the experience with some history of the food we were eating and an explanation of the ingredients and cooking process. I also appreciated that Matthew was very accommodating of my shellfish allergy, making sure the necessary adjustments were made to the food we sampled.

Oh, and I took Matthew’s imperial city & history tour earlier in the day and it was equally as memorable of an experience. Plus, he connected threads from the imperial city tour to the food tour which was super cool!

Matthew’s love of Hue is super palpable and he translates that passion into a fantastic experience for his visitors. I highly recommend both of Matthew’s you’re - you will leave Hue with a very well-rounded understanding of the city.
