The trip itself is a combination of motorbike driving on the most amazing road in Viet Nam with sightseeing and walking. Along the ride, you will be able to enjoy magnificent views from the Heaven Gate pass, a short walk to Silver Waterfall, Love Waterfall as well as visit villages of Flower H’mong, Lu and Thai and Black Dao minorities.

On the way to Tan Uyen district you have change to visit tea plantation and learn more the process how to make green tea with leaves and buds. And how to tell when tea leaves and buds are ready to be picked and how to tell its quality grade.

Thac Bac Waterfall (Silver Falls)

Silver Waterfall (Thac Bac) is located right next to National Highway 4D, the arterial roads to Lai Chau province, which is fairly convenient to visit. It takes about 30 minutes by motorbike or bus for tourists to visit one of few most beautiful waterfalls in Sapa in particular and waterfalls in Vietnam in general. Almost all of tourists participating in Sapa tour do not miss the tourist site. Magnificent natural scenery on the trips, the pine forests, the chayote gardens spreading over the hillside, the lush fields of roses year round will make tourists forget long haul in order to immerse in the impressive nature. Discovering Silver Waterfall is definitely one of the most unforgettable things to do in Sapa.

Love Waterfall

Stop at Tram ton (Hoang Lien National park station) You can take a short walk following the Golden Stream and see the love waterfall located in Hoang Lien forest. Where you will be amazed by the breathtaking view of mountain surroundings including Fansipan, the highest peak of Indochina. You then continue your drive downhill on one of the most beautiful stretch of roads in Vietnam

Tram Ton Pass

From the summit there are stunning views of the valley on the other side of the pass and you can observe the road snaking around the mountains towards Binh Lu village and Lai Chau beyond. We spend enough time at the pass for guests to take photos and admire the views.

After taking some beautiful photos of the Tram Ton Pass, You then continue your drive downhill on one of the most beautiful stretch of roads in Vietnam to Than Uyen, where you will meet the black Dao, who are trading in the town’s small market in their black traditional dresses.

After enjoying lunch in a local restaurant, you will start your trip to visit some minority villages on your way back to Sapa. You first visit Na Hum villages, inhabited by Black Thai, who are famous for their traditional stilt house surrounded by rice terraces stretching along the picturesque valleys. You then visit the Lu minority in Bo village where you may encounter the villagers while they are weaving their cloth. The last visit before you arrive back to Sapa is to Chu Va village of Flower H’mong and having a nice experience of watching the children playing curiously around in their very colourful custom.

Experiencing Beautiful Vietnam by Motorbike

This was my top favourite experience in Vietnam. Toa was a fantastic guide, with very good English and a fine sense of humour. He was very easy to chat to on a variety of topics i.e culture, traditions, education, tourism, employment, agriculture.
We visited 2 waterfalls, zipping through the backroads through rice paddy’s, tea plantations, valleys, alongside rivers and villages. The weather was perfect, with slight drizzle occasionally. It was lovely to see the kids coming out of school break, big smiles and waves from many, buffalo being moved along at a slow amble along the roadside. You could have reached out and touched them (I declined)!
The scenery was out of this world. Just breathtaking.
Travelling solo, I was a little disappointed at first there were no others in the group, however this proved to be a bonus as you can set your own pace, which was a little slow walking to the waterfalls, after coming off a trek the day before. I am average in fitness, so if you are keen to do both motorbike riding and trekking, I would recommend this tour first.
I loved every minute of this experience. I loved the off-road challenge and riding through the mountain pass (main road).

Most amazing experience in Vietnam

This trip was the best in our 3-week vacation in Vietnam. We called the organisation the evening before we wanted to ride motorcycles, and a very nice lady explained us the various tours they offered. She spoke very well English and we immediatly booked a tour.

The next morning we were very excited to ride a motorbike ourselves. The organization gave us protective clothes and we could practice a bit on the motorbike before going directly into the traffic. This put me at ease, because the traffic in Vietnam is not what I am used to. It is also possible to book a driver, but we really wanted to drive the motorbike ourselves. Off we went... Luckely, the traffic in Sapa is not that crazy as in Hanoi or other big cities. After 30 minutes or so we were in the middle of the beautiful mountains of Sapa.

Our tour gide took us to the most amazing views we could imagine. Regularly, he stopped and he explained some history about the nature and local villages. The guide drove very safely and took our pace into account. We ate lunch at a local restaurant and it was very good. Even at our lunch stop, the views of Sapa were unbelievably beautiful.

We arrived back in Sapa at 5.30 PM, so it was a trip of about 9 hours, and we were very sad it was already over. We didn't got bored any second!

We would definately recommend Sapa Motorbike Tours to any tourist who want to discover Sapa at its best!! The guide was so nice and calm, he spoke very well English, and he really made our trip so much better.

Amazing Experience Motorbiking Through the Sapa Mountains

I did not have expectations going in for this tour, I like to be surprised by what I see and experience in the moment and this tour provided me a great conclusion to my trip to Sapa. Traveling for 8-9 hours through the mountains was amazing, I got to experience so much in such a little time. From driving through the mountains, valleys, and even doing a little trekking to the the waterfalls in the area, everything was beautiful. As a first time motorbike ride the equipment and motorbikes are very good. I rode an automatic motorbike and it made the experience for me even better as I could focus more on my environment around me. My tour guide Toa was extremely friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about the destinations we visited as well as general information about Sapa Mountains. I would recommend this trip to anyone visiting Sapa Mountains walking/trekking will only get you so far, taking this tour will truly give you a sense of how vast and beautiful the Sapa Mountains are.
