Overview

Spend a half day tour to weave through rural villages by bicycle. Visit friendly local families along the way to see their traditional jobs and way of life. The route is very flat, quiet and gets away of crowded tourists area. Plenty of nice spots to take photos such as rice paddies, water buffaloes, cows, fishing net and fishing boat. Tour is PRIVATE and run by our local buddies who are eager to show our beautiful country to all customers.

The real Vietnam

Wow what an incredible experience. A bike ride through a little village to a small Vietnamese island. We rode to the ferry then when we arrived the other end we stopped at a local carpenters sculptural workshop, ship repair yard, whale worship temple with whale bones, touched shy plant, Vietnamese mattress weave making, rice wine making with a singsong about he lost his friend and left leg in the Cambodian war, then onto making our own rice pancakes making, then cycled back to the ferry for lunch. The tour guides went way beyond my expectations. Memories overload.

This was an fabulous tour! Ben was an amazing guide and taught us a lot about Vietnamese culture, made us feel comfortable and safe on the bikes and took us to some really cool places. It was great to see the rice paddies, help a farmer grow vegetables, ride a buffalo, go on a basket boat and lunch and drinks was plentiful and delicious. I will recommend this tour to everybody! Thank you Ben!!

Tu met us at our hotel with the bikes and guided us safely through the city streets until we reached Cam Kim island. He was full of information about local customs and the places we visited - the rice paper maker, the boat builder, the mat weaver and the rice wine maker. He was patient with my many requests to stop for photos along the way and also took photos of us when we tried our hands at some of these crafts. He was also interested in our county and customs. We had a very enjoyable day riding through the countryside and also with a ferry ride back to Hoi An town. This is a very worthwhile tour to do, to learn how the local people live and appreciate their traditional skills. Tu is a very friendly and charming young man with very good English. Thank you for a great day!
