Accompanied & guided by Chef Dat with 18 year experience and Dat is also a certified English speaking guide for over 20 years. Chef Dat is well know on the Nha Trang restaurant scene for both his cooking skill and his ability to transfer some of his remarkable talents to eager students. Dat's excellent English skills will ensure a smooth, easy and educational day.

Using fresh ingredients and concocting imaginative flavors, this is a fun and interesting way to learn the local cuisine.

Enjoy a unique, hands - on cooking experience from start to finish in preparing three fabulous and traditional Vietnamese dishes.

As part of your culinary adventure you will also be given detailed recipes, so when you arrive back home, you will be able to impress your family and friends (and yourself) with some great Vietnamese food.

Great tour!!!

The cooking class by Dat was really great. We had the chance to decide which recipies to cook, bought the ingredients at a local market and went to a herb garden. It was not only a cooking class but Dat also told us a lot about the Vietnamese culture and we could ask all the questions we were interested in. It was a really relaxing atmosphere and after cooking we enjoyed the food together. We definately recommend it!!!

Fantastic. Must do in Nha Trang. Chef Dat is enthusiastic, welcoming, warm and extremely knowledgeable. The whole experience introduces Viet Nam and Nha Trang in a different light. 10/10 would recommend.

The highlight of our whole trip!

Dat’s cooking class was the absolute highlight of our trip! From the very beginning of the day when he picked us up in a very comfortable, air-conditioned car we knew we were in great hands. Dat is friendly, knowledgeable of the area and a fantastic and patient chef and teacher.

The day focused on the true culture of Vietnam just as much as the food, with stops at the markets to source food and a herb garden which were very enjoyable. The cooking class itself was fantastic, and not only did we learn alot of new techniques from Dat but we got a delicious feast at the end - can’t get much better than that! Day even asks you what dishes you want to learn so every class is different. I can’t wait to come back and do another class - Thankyou Dat!

Get to know Vietnam though a food adventure

Dat’s market tour and home cooking class is the best way to learn about the culture of Vietnam. I can not recommend this class enough.

Visiting the farms, bakery, and rice noodle producers gave us a fantastic insight into food manufacturing outside the cities, and how they handle the hot climate.

We then bought all the ingredients we needed to cook the selection of dishes of our choosing at the local market. Here we learned the names and uses of many traditional vegetables and fruits.

Travelling to Dat’s house we learned of his life in Vietnam and his passion for education. This added to the richness of our time in this class - a wonderful story to hear.

Getting our ‘hands dirty’ in the kitchen was great fun, and while we initially thought the recipes would be complex we were pleasantly surprised how easily we could prepare a great banquet.
We chose to make Banh Xeo, Nem Nuong and a tuna soup with rice noodles. Everything was well explained and easy to follow… and delicious!
