Ban Gioc Waterfall is located in Dam Thuy Commune (Cao Bang City), which is 335 kilometers from Hanoi. The western side of the waterfall is owned by Vietnam, while the eastern side is claimed by China. As a result, indigenous ethnic communities in the Ban Gioc Waterfall area contribute a great range of cultural traditions.

Amazing tour through untouched parts of Vietnam

This tour was a step away from all the hussle and bussle of touristic Sapa, Hanoi, Ha Long Bay and the like. During our trip to Northern Vietnam, bordering China, we saw very few tourists.

Day 1 - we went from Hanoi to our homestay. A beautiful route taking us through scenic landschapes and local villages.

Day 2 - bordering China we visited the beautiful Ban Gioc Waterfalls, on one side you have China, on the other one Vietnam. We stayed in a homestay at Ba Be Lake with AC which was very nice!

Day 3 - we took a refreshing dive in Ba Be Lake and a relaxing boat tour. After that we headed back to Hanoi!

I would definitely recommand this trip if you like to escape the tourist masses elsewhere in Vietnam!

Me and my two friends had a great time with Luan and the driver in the north of Vietnam. The first day we spent most of the time in the car the most amazing view, which by itself is worth the trip. The second day we spend our time at the beautiful Ban Gioc waterfalls and the tiger cave, which were breathtaking. The third day we will spend sometime on the Ba Be Lake.

Luan is an amazing guide, who is willing to answer all your questions, he knows a lot about the history of Vietnam and loves to help you with your further trip in Vietnam!

Definitely would recommend this tour to anyone!
