What To Expect

Long Bien Bridge
Long Bien Bridge was the longest bridge in Asia when it was built from 1899 to 1902. Known as the oldest bridge in Hanoi that is still living and sharing the daily life with Hanoians silently. At this stop, while you can take some time to enjoy the view and take pictures, our tour guide will also introduce the history of the bridge as well as details about the life of locals from 2 sides of it.
After that, we will pass through the famous Chuong Duong Bridge - the four-lane, steel span bridge’s claim to fame is that it was the first sizeable bridge designed and built by Vietnamese workers, with no international assistance.

Lake of the Restored Sword (Hoan Kiem Lake)
Lying in the centre of Hanoi‘s historic district, Hoan Kiem Lake is a lovely, peaceful place with a fascinating history. In 1428, legend has it that Emperor Le Loi obtained a magical sword from the Dragon King to fight against Chinese oppressors. The sword, as you may have guessed, came from Hoan Kiem lake.
At this stop, we will have a chance to see “Ly Thai To Monument”. This is a cultural and architectural work which aims to honour King Ly Thai To (974 – 1028). He is the first king who found Capital Citadel of Thang Long (Hanoi today).

St. Joseph's Cathedral
Saint Joseph Cathedral, located at 40 Nha Chung street, Hanoi, is a Roman Catholic cathedral with neo- gothic style, which was built about 120 years ago.
Construction began in 1886, with the architectural style described as resembling Notre Dame de Paris. The church was one of the first structures built by the French colonial government in Indochina when it opened in December 1886.

Hoa Lo Prison
Hỏa Lò Prison was a prison used by the French colonists in French Indochina for political prisoners, and later by North Vietnam for U.S. prisoners of war during the Vietnam War. The French called it Maison Central, a generic name for a colonial prison. Whatever its name, the notorious prison housed a century of torture within its walls.

West Lake
West Lake is known as Hanoi’s largest freshwater lake. It’s a huge body of water – it has a circumference of 17km – and there are plenty of historic places of interest, five-star hotels, stylish restaurants, cafes, and nightlife venues that are worth exploring along the shoreline.
The West Lake is bordered by several significant pagodas. Vietnam’s oldest pagoda, Tran Quoc pagoda, was built in the 6th century and is located on an island in the middle of the West Lake.
On this tour, Tran Quoc Pagoda is one of the places that cannot be missed.

Huu Tiep Lake and the Downed B-52
We will then have a quick visit to the B52 plane crash site. This is a remarkable victory of Vietnam soldiers during the Vietnam war. You will also get to visit a local market nearby to see daily activities of the Hanoians.

Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum
Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is the final resting place of Ho Chi Minh, the most iconic and popular leader of Vietnam, known to his people as ‘Uncle Ho’. His body is preserved here in a glass case at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in central Hanoi.
At this stop, while you can take some time to see the attraction from outside and take pictures, our tour guide will fill you in with more stories about our Uncle Ho & the historical information.
Note: Please keep in mind that we do not go inside the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum on “Hanoi City sights and street food”tour. This attraction requires a lot of time to fully appreciate so we recommend that you visit them on your own so that we can make the most of time you have with us.

Excellent food and sights tour of Hanoi!
CiaraEnnis, 14-01-2020
My friends and I decided last minute to do a food and sights tour of Hanoi and we’re so happy that we did! Paloma Motorbike Tours was such a fun way to see the city. Tracey was our tour guide and brought us to so many must see places in Hanoi with a great history and description of each place. Thin was my driver and was so much fun to drive around town with. She was a great driver and knew a lot about the city and buildings that we drive past on our tour. Tracey brought us to excellent restaurants in Hanoi and ordered us delicious food that we would have never thought to try ourselves. She was really respectful of our dietary restrictions as well. This tour was a great way to spend a morning and a must for anyone visiting Hanoi!

Booked this tour last minute through the Delicacy Hotel, and we were quite pleased with the outcome!
Tracey was the tour guide who was absolutely amazing. She was punctual, friendly and very knowledgeable about Vietnam and the city of Hanoi.
Vinh was my personal motor bike driver for the tour and I couldn’t have asked for better! She was a great driver and made me feel so safe in such a city of crazy traffic. She pointed out all the important buildings and things to see along the way.
Overall the tour was the perfect amount of time with good stops! Tracey picked the best local restaurant for us to have lunch. The food was authentic local Vietnamese and she catered to the food allergies of the group without issue.

100% would recommend this tour!!!

Great tour to see the sights of Hanoi old quarter, we felt very safe with our respective rider taking us around to see various sites in this very busy city.
We particularly enjoyed the Hanoi Hilton prison tour and food stop at the end of our tour.
Big thanks to the female riders who we trusted with our lives and a big thank you to Annie who was the tour guide.
The only way to see Hanoi

This tour was so much fun! I've never ridden on a motorbike before but after just a few minutes with my driver, I felt comfortable and stable. I felt very safe the entire time, even with the hectic Hanoi traffic - and had a great time on the back of the bike.

At each stop, we discovered some history or had some delicious food and while we were riding we were able to talk with our driver who pointed out historical or significant places. Even with the rush of wind, or rumble of nearby engines, it was easy to have a discussion on the bike.

This tour includes a lot of history and a lot of food. My tour guide was incredibly friendly, and I recommend it if you want to go see the town with someone.
