Amazing 4-day tour - The highlight of our 2 week trip!
JustinCarter2425, 13-09-2022
My wife and I had an amazing time on this 4-day motorbike tour through the north of Vietnam. It was definitely the highlight of our 2 week trip. The views are absolutely breathtaking and you can really soak them in riding with the excellent tour guides. Our guides, Jack (aka Buffalo) and John were super friendly and knowledgeable and made the whole experience unforgettable. One of the best parts is the "homestay" where you get to stay with a Vietnamese family and eat alongside them in their home. I understand you can also drive the motorbikes yourself alongside the guides, but I wouldn't recommend that unless you have experience since the roads can be bad and driving in Vietnam is a bit crazy. Also, I wouldn't recommend taking children under 13.

A few checklist items that we wish we knew going in:
1. Bring a lot of sunscreen or be prepared to be completely covered up. Bugspray is also recommended. A hat and sunglasses are also must-haves. They can provide you protective gear for your arms and legs if you want to wear it (my wife did) but the guides are such good drivers I don't think it's necessary.
2. You should bring a small cushion for your bum since it can get sore riding on these motorbikes and there is a 1 hr stretch where the roads are really bumpy. You will generally take a break every 30 minutes or so for photos so it never got too bad.
3. Everything you pack in your backpack will be what you have to wear/use for the length of your tour. You won't have access to your suitcase.
4. Bring a swimsuit. Water shoes could also be recommended for when you go to the waterfalls since the rocks are really slippery.
5. You'll need some close-toed shoes for hiking to waterfalls that you have a good grip but you don't mind retiring at the end of the trip since they'll likely get really muddy. Also bring sandals/flipflops.
6. Earplugs are recommended since at night time there may be roosters and other animals making noises.
7. Bring a light rain jacket or poncho I'd you have one. If not, they can provide that.
8. Bring enough shampoo, conditioner, and body wash for the tour since that isn't provided and you'll be wanting to shower each day.
9. Like most tours in Vietnam, your meals will be included but you need to pay for your drinks. Bring petty cash with you for that but your guides can take you to ATMs in town if you get low. Drinks are typically 15-25k dong.
10. TIP YOUR GUIDES. They really go out of their way to make the experience amazing for you and it's super appreciated.

All in all, the experience is highly recommended and you should make time in your itinerary for at least the 3 day tour if not the 4 day tour. I'd recommend booking through this company in particular since it was such a seamless and great experience for us. Pictures truly don't do the views justice - it's absolutely stunning in person. Keep up the good work!
Best experience and breathtaking views!

We were traveling through Vietnam for a month. This was the highlight of it all. The loop had the most astonishing views we'd ever experienced. Our guide, Slowly, was very professional, friendly and helpful. We had heard amazing stories from other people before about the Ha Giang loop, but even with some rainy days this was above all expectations. Cozy hostel in Ha Giang gave us a warm welcome and arranged the tour for us.
The best experience ever

Me and my friend did the 3 day ha Giang loop with easy riders and it was the best experience we have ever done! The tour was really well organised and the views were absolutely breathtaking! Thankyou so much to Jack our driver, he made sure we had loads of fun and his English is really good! We met other travels in our group who we have kept in contact with and would definitely recommend anyone to do this tour and visit ha Giang! Thankyou Jack
Best experience in Vietnam so far

The whole tour was amazing! I did the 4 day tour with an easyrider and my brother also but he drove the motorcycle himself. They started at The Cozy Hostel where we could rest and eat before we departed. The hostel is really clean and the family running it is sooo nice! They also speak very good english compared to many people in Vietnam. We met our guide with nickname "Slowly" and he showed my brother how to ride the motorcycle. We did a little local village in Ha Giang and then in the afternoon started the big loop. It was extremely beautiful and all the people we met were great! Everything was taken care of so well. The homestays, the drinks, food, motorcycles, a little boattrip, a night of karaoke, some nights with locals, everything was amazing. My driver Slowly was a really nice guy which made me feel really safe and he was a lot of fun! We enjoyed this trip soooo much :)
Well organized, safe, extraordinary views.

Everything was well organized. The drivers were really good, safe, and took good care of us. The overnight stays were very comfortable. The first night was extraordinary with superb cuisine. The sights were super. And the guest house from which it is based is really well run, has a good cafe, very comfortable beds, clean and bright and friendly.
